It’s November, already…What have we been doing all year???

Where did 2012 go?  Like many of you, we find it hard to believe we are already in November.  Christmas decorations already out.  We had to stop and think, what did we do all year?  JWAVS had a lot of successes this year.  We developed our new website, became an InfoComm Silver Member, signed up many new product lines, made new friends and partnerships, hired new people, oh yeah and we installed some pretty awesome new AV systems.

The year started with a lot of Crestron QuickMedia systems and ended with a lot of Crestron DigitalMedia systems.  Not to mention all of the Smart board systems, Polycom, Lifesize, and Cisco video conferencing in between.   When looking back at the systems we integrated this year I will say that I am very pleased with how well the projects went.  That’s not to say that there weren’t any challenges but that’s just the nature of the business we’re in.   Integration, in a nutshell, is finding a way to make all types of different equipment, from thousands of manufacturers, get along and play nicely.  So many connectors, so many formats, signal types, analog/digital, DVI,  audio, video, HDMI, balanced, unbalanced,70volt, 4/8ohm, UTP, STP,  rs232, IP,  Cobranet, etc…..the list goes on and on.  It can be very overwhelming but it’s what we do every day and we’re very good at it.  It’s not easy, but with a good team of the right people, integration can go smoothly.

And remember, it’s good for all of us to take a minute and think about what we’ve accomplished this year.  It’s easy to get so busy between work and family that at times we forget to stop and think about all we’ve accomplished throughout the year.  Many times we think nothing is ever getting done because there is always so much more to do.  But just take a minute and reflect on what you’ve accomplished this year.  It’s probably a lot more than you think!
